Graustin Wedding Going Green and Staying Local!

In our attempt to be green and support local businesses, we will be:
  • purchasing vintage rings from a local jeweler
  • holding our wedding ceremony and reception at the same location
  • requesting electronic or phone R.S.V.P.'s instead of traditional paper response cards
  • using vintage punch glasses for wine instead of disposable or buying new
  • renting or buying mismatched plates instead of paper
  • attempting to grow some of our own flowers for ceremony and reception
  • using vintage and reused vessels for flowers, plants, decor, etc.
  • supporting a local caterer (Cameron's Catering), photographer (Kat Foley), and farmers market (flowers)
  • asking our wedding party and guests to carpool to the BIG event!

Meet Kat!

We have hired our photographer for the BIG day - Kat Foley!

I first got to know Kat when she offered to donate to Art for the Cure of Cystic Fibrosis.  ACCF is a fundraiser in loving memory of my sister, Robyn.  Over the years, Kat has continued to support our cause and last fall took some beautiful photographs of my niece, Lola.

I felt a connection to her and just knew that we needed to have her shoot the wedding!!

Take a look at her beautiful work at kat foley photo!

4 months from today!

Wow - the time is quickly passing and before we know it the BIG day will be here!  Just four months from today!!!

I'm a regular blog viewer of everything wedding these days.  I saw this special couple highlighted on Jose Villa's blog.  They are SO cute and look very happy after 60 years together!
